5th Euro-Mediterranean Festival of Traditional Dances

Traditional dances from various countries organised by the Limassol Municipality. In the festival participate dance groups from Cyprus, Crete, Egypt, Romania, Serbia, Poland and Bulgaria.

The events take place at various open spaces in Limassol and the suburbs of the city.

Program:

Monday 02/08
Opening Ceremony
19:30  Parade of the dance groups from the churchyard of Agia Zoni until the Gregory Afxentiou Square (in front of the building of the District Administration). Welcome by the Mayor of Limassol Andreas Christou. The Festival will be opened by the Minister of Education and Culture Andreas Demetriou.
20:30  Artistic programme with the participation of the dance groups.

Tuesday 03/08
20:30  The Limassol Municipality in cooperation with various Community councils of Limassol presents an artistic program with all the participating dance groups at the 26th elementary school of Triherousa (Spiros Kyprianou Avenue).

Thursday 05/08
20:30  The Limassol Municipality in cooperation with the Community Council of Zakaki presents an artistic program with all the participating dance groups at the churchyard of Agia Varvara in Zakaki.

Friday 06/08
Closing Ceremony
19:30  Parade of the dance groups from the Municipal Gardens of Limassol (sea front) until the Old Port.
20:30  Artistic program with all the participating dance groups in a specially designed place inside the old port.
