The Larnaka Regional Tourism Body organizes, within the framework of its events for 2010, in collaboration with the CTO and the Municipality of Larnaka, an event titled “Larnaka Art Project, Past-Present-Future”.
The event which will take place during the weekend 18-19/9/2010 in front of Intercollege Larnaka in the Larnaka-Dekeleia Road, involves a graffiti competition from artists whose artworks shall be preselected by an Evaluation Committee.
The aim of this initiative is the improvement of this area’s image with the presentation of artworks about Larnaka as well as the promotion of Larnaka’s rich history and culture.
The participants should send their preliminary draft artwork which should be based on the general title and fulfil the relevant terms and conditions of the competition, the latest by the 20th of July 2010. The participants selected by the Evaluation Committee will be called to paint their artworks during the event. The selection of the best artworks for awarding as above shall be decided once the artworks are finalised and exhibited at the event place. The winners shall be decided by 60% stake of the Committee and 40% voting of the public through the Larnaka Regional Tourism Body’s website.
