Event description:
Leonardo da Vinci dedicated himself to scientific studies in anatomy, biology, mathematics and physics using his natural passion and imagination. His manuscripts, commonly known as Codices, exhibit simple solutions to practical problems of his time. He is now becoming even more popular for his innate ability to imagine flying machines and automation.
Since none of his designs have survived, in the past fifty years scholars and artisans have united their forces in order to offer us the best interpretations of Leonardo’s ideas.
The exhibitions presents over sixty models grouped in themes: War Machines, Flying Machines, Nautical & Hydraulic Machines as well as devices illustrating Principles of Mechanics.
Many are scale models and some are life size giving the visitor an interactive experience with the machines.
