It is 1955, Churchill is 80 years old and is preparing himself for his farewell dinner at 10, Downing Street. The following day he will resign as Prime Minister. He looks back over the triumphs and bitter disappointments of his public and personal life.

Utton did an excellent job putting Churchill's true personality and character on stage. The play has caused a great impression abroad and is finally in Cyprus for just one night. Utton gives the audience not only the great statesman and some of Churchill’s most famous speeches, but also moments of touching intimacy.
