True to its mission, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra continues its Community Outreach Programme and Family Concerts, offering this time to the wider public a large “musical bouquet” of melodic, joyful and vivid works. The programme includes popular classical works from the baroque, classical and romantic periods by Cimarosa, Tchaikovsky (Pas de quatre from Swan Lake), Elgar (Salut d'amour, op.12), and other composers. The Orchestra will also perform music from other orchestral genres, such as Gabriel's oboe from the movie The Mission by Ennio Morricone, Champagne Polka by Lumbye and “Chrysoprasino fyllo” (Golden-green leaf) by Theodorakis.
