The witch Krisara has spread crisis all around the world. She wants to see miserable and unhappy people everywhere and she almost succeeds. Photography exhibition - Nikos Koutantos "43 Shots"

Description:
Nikos Koutantos presents the photography exhibition “43 Shots”. The exhibition takes place at a time when both an economic and deep cultural crisis is evolving and, more importantly, when a crisis in values has limited our thoughts and imagination. It constitutes a gesture of solidarity to a society I had the pleasure of meeting during my last summer holidays. This is the society of the small islands of Lipsoi, in the northern part of the Dodecanese between the islands of Patmos and Leros in the Aegean. On the one hand I was fortunate enough to spend my holidays there, but on the other hand I had the misfortune to become ill. Beyond the genuine nature of the people of the island, I also experienced the harsh reality they are faced with; The absence of a pharmacy and a serious shortage of medical supplies, being delivered by boat to the island just once a month, weather permitting, to the 700 inhabitants, most of them elderly.

The aim of this exhibition is to use all the proceeds from the sale of the photographs to purchase and send medical supplies to the beautiful island of Lipsoi.

Art Exhibition - The lamp of the body is the eye

Description:

A video-installation and a series of prints. Color, motion and texture that excite the senses. The eye looks at the whole but at the same time focuses on the detail. It transfers matter to the body which in turn “translates” to spirit.

The inspiration for the series of works with the general title: “The lamp of the body is the eye...” is derived from the words of Christ as found in the Bible from the gospel of Matthew, and the hydrangeas that flourish in Portugal, flowers made up of other smaller flowers.

Dionisis Savopoulos Performs to honor Evgenios Spathari and Mano Xatzidaki

Due to the exhibitions and shows of the classic Greek shadow theater of “Evgenios Spathari”. The famous Greek singer/songwriter Dionisis Savopoulos is coming to Cyprus for 3 shows to honor the master puppeteer and cultural icon.

For this performance the artist will perform with a number of great soloist musicians from Greece. He is expected to perform some of his most famous work which in time he collaborated with “Evgenios Spathari”. A part of the concert will be dedicated to songs of a great collaborator of “Evgenios Spathari”, Manos Xatzidaki.
