Event Description

The most popular Wine Festival on the Island is held yearly for 2 whole weeks in the town of Limassol. The Festival is dedicated to the Greek God of vine and wine, Dionysus, and to the Greek Goddess of beauty and love, Aphrodite. 

The Festival, along with the Carnival, is the largest and most important event for the town of Limassol and for the island as well.

• Adult (above 18 years old) – €6.00 including bottled wine. One FREE bottle by the wine industry of your choice amongst the following: ETKO, LOEL, and SODAP.
• Teenage (from 13 to 18 years old) – €5.00
• Child (up to 12 years old) – €4.00
• Plastic Wine bottle: €1.50
• Wine glass: €1.50
• Wine glass with stem: €2.50

Wine Seminar in Larnaca

Wine Seminars in May 2012 (Larnaca)

Due to popular demand The Grand Maestro of Italy, Alberto Civitella, is returning to Cyprus to perform a Wine Service Technique seminar in Larnaca in association with Progress Cyprus.

The Seminar will be executed in English and is the only one of its kind and will consist of 3 Modules as follows:

1. The world of Wine
2. Wine Service
3. Wine Sales

The Seminar also includes the "Art of Wine & Food Pairing". There will be a practical session on the art of tasting and serving wine in the afternoon too.

Koumantaria Festival

The Koumandaria Festival will commence on the 24th of July and end on the 30th of July. The programme includes events to all villages at the Koumantaria region. The event will comprise of visits to wineries, offerings of traditional Cypriot delicacies and will be supported by Greek music and traditional Cypriot dances.

After much negotiation we have finally set the date for our next event for the 11^th October 2010. We apologise for the short notice and hope that you will all be able to join us. This is going to be a very special occasion as we mentioned before, renowned Sommelier Xenia Schneider will be in Cyprus and she will present together with George Kassianos some of the best Cypriot wines which have been specially chosen to compliment the menu.  This will be a private function at Sidayes restaurant for our club members.
