Flying away to the Strange Forest Choir, July 3rd 2014

Description
The distinguished songwriter Tatiana Zografou, widely recognised for her songs for children, in cooperation with the choral director of the Papadakeion Municipal School of Music, Corina Vasiliou, the children of the School Choir and a small group of pupils from the First Elementary School of Engomi with whom Ms. Zografou’s collaborator Dimitris Bouzanis has worked recently, have designed with much love and motivation, a musical performance for children and adults, which will inspire us to unite our voices in a common song, creative and colourful.

In the first part of the performance, Tatiana Zografou will present her music for the fairytale “Tzikitzik, Krikikrik and the Strange Forest Choir” written by Kostas Magos and illustrated by Katerina Hadoulou. In the second part, celebrating her ten-year anniversary in songwriting, the composer will present some of her most representative songs.

Limassol’s own stage school for kids is giving young singers, dancers, musicians and entertainers the opportunity to perform in front of a panel of professionals flying in from the West End, London and top musicians of Cyprus.

All competitors will be called for a technical rehearsal in the week leading up to the competition. A recording opportunity, as well as scholarships for the school are among the prizes for the winners.

Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation - Afternoon Family Concert - Nicosia/Paphos

Event Description
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation dedicated to its offer to the musical education for children of school age, presents 2 afternoon family concerts especially for children between 7-15 years old and their parents.

With this programme, the children will have the opportunity to enjoy a musical journey throughout the musical periods, and understand the musical styles and characteristics of each era. Through the music, the children will also identify the different style of the composers who represent each musical period. They will also have the chance to get to get to know and understand the development of the Orchestra in each period and to practice their appreciation for music as well as the appropriate audience attitude.

Pinocchio - Theatre Maskarini - Cyprus

Event Description
The Theatre Maskarini presents the well-known fairy tale "Pinocchio" written by the Italian Carlo Collodi in a unique adaptation of Markos-Ioulios Drousiotis and Christos Nikolaou.

Pinocchio, created by a woodcarver named Geppetto in a small Italian village, was a wooden puppet with only one hope: Become a real boy!

Regular performances every Sunday at 10:30 until the 14th of April.

Furthermore, multiple performances have been scheduled  in all cities in order to make it possible for every admirer to watch this great production.
